Zone Contractors Limited are an experienced supplier to the main contractors and clients of the civil engineering and construction sectors. We are currently recruiting for the below role:
Ganger required for a Highways infrastructure project (M25 J10) in the Woking area.
- Valid CSCS (Gold) Supervisory
- SSSTS (CITB) - Supervisor Site Safety Training Scheme or SMSTS (required)
- First Aid Qualification (preferable)
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferable)
- SEQOHS Safety Critical Medical (preferable but required)
- Streetworks Ticket (Desirable)

Previous experience on major civil engineering/infrastructure projects in this field is essential.

There is no dig allowance or fuel allowance for this position, allowances have not been written into the contract for this project by the contractor, we therefore seek to recruit for this position locally if possible.

- Supervise and lead a team of earthworks operatives to ensure efficient and safe completion of projects
- Plan and organize daily tasks, allocate resources, and monitor progress
- Conduct site inspections to assess work quality and adherence to specifications
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment as needed
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance

- Proven experience as an Earthworks Ganger or similar role in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of earthworks techniques, equipment, and safety protocols
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage time, resources, and personnel to meet project deadlines
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
