**Focus of the role**

To provide knowledge and resource with respect to microbiology, contamination control and sterilisation.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Recommend, implement, and monitor procedures to ensure the required product quality is achieved through microbiological and contamination control of materials and working environments (including personnel).
- Recommend and evaluate suitable sterilisation processes and controls in order to achieve sterilisation of product.
- Establish and validate processes required to achieve required microbiological and contamination control of product and environment.
- Review and approve microbiological, environmental and sterilisation test results, reports, and validations.
- Trend microbiological, environmental and sterilisation test results and report.
- For environmental and microbiological related nonconformities or concerns, coordinate root cause investigation
- For environmental and microbiological related nonconformities or concerns, implement corrective and preventive action
- Assist with internal, external and supplier audits regarding microbiology,

**Qualification & skills**
- Working knowledge of microbiology techniques and/or sterilisation
- Worked within healthcare (medical devices or pharmaceutical)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment or test laboratory
- Level 6 degree or equivalent in microbiology or sterilisation

**Salary & Benefits**

**Salary**: £33,000 - £36,000 per annum
