The General Critical Care Units at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Foundation NHS Trust, have a vacancy for a Lead Clinical Educator. We are seeking a high performing experienced Critical Care Clinical Nurse Educator to join and co lead our education team.

We have 42 level 2 and 3 beds spread across 3 units on two campuses, catering for a wide range of patients from a number of regional specialities as well as being a Trauma Centre.

The post holder will be responsible for facilitating the continued learning and development of evidence based Critical Care nursing practice within the 3 General Critical Care units., ensuring that education is responsive to service developments. They will use their expertise to manage, support and co-ordinate the education team, provide support and act as a resource for both junior and senior members of the multi disciplinary team.

To create an infrastructure to support staff within the units in continued professional development and promoting the workplace as a positive learning environment, maintaining a culture of interprofessional learning and enquiry.

They will be expected to be familiar with digital STEPS competencies and be able to provide academic support to Critical Care nurses undertaking the Principles of Critical Care Nursing Practice modules at academic level 6 and 7.
