**About the Role**
We are now looking for an enthusiastic Public Engagement practitioner on a 2-year fixed term basis to coordinate and participate in the delivery of Diamond’s core Public Engagement programme for schools and the public.
- Delivering talks and tours about Diamond to an audience of the general public.
- Coordinating arrangements for external partners.
- Working at festivals, museums and other partner venues discussing our science and its impact in society.
- Assisting with the preparation and administration of developing staff training materials.
- Working with schools to develop and deliver events and visits in the local community
- Assisting with the development and delivery of the Diamond Work Experience Programme.
- Managing public engagement equipment.
**About You**
You should hold qualifications in science, science communication or education, or demonstrate equivalent relevant experience.
We are looking for someone with experience of programme planning and delivery, as well as working with volunteers. Experience working in science communication with both public and school audiences is desirable.
You will demonstrate exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, includingthe ability to work as a team and build good relationships with staff at all levels.
