**The Role**:
**Principal Responsibilities**:

- Assisting with the loading and discharging of cargo operations
- Mooring tankers at the loading jetty and assist the jetty crew as necessary
- Maintaining high standards of workboat housekeeping and general maintenance, including all painting
- Embarking and disembarking passengers where required
- Working under the terminal Permit to Work System principles
- Assisting the Coxswain with the navigation and general running of the workboat
- Attending and participate in all safety-related meetings, drills and training programmes and execute in working practice
- Participating in Tier 1 pollution response exercises

**Essential skillset**:

- Competent operator in site plant and equipment
- Knowledge and experience in site safety regulations and the hazardous characteristics of the substances handled
- Full UK Driving licence or equivalent

This role operates on a shift rotation and is based at Garelochhead, Dunbartonshire. Participation in an out of hours emergency contact service is also a requirement.
