Leder is the national review programme learning from the lives and deaths of persons with a learning disability and/or autism.

We are recruiting to a permanent and dedicated review team as part of the wider Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism Team within the ICB.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence and support local change by completing high quality reviews and identifying key learning points from the lives and deaths of our local citizens.

We are seeking experienced practitioners who will need an understanding of the health needs of people with learning disabilities, local and national priorities across health services and the impact of these on people with learning disabilities.

The role involves working closely with other services and requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Please note as the local Integrated Care System develops this role could potentially move to a provider collaborative.

To be part of our team you will need a relevant health related qualification as a nurse or allied health professional, be a committed, reflective team player.

You will be experienced in the field of learning disability and or autism and understand the associated health and social care needs of people with learning disabilities.

You will have a clear understanding of the LeDeR programme and its implications for people who have a learning disability, families and wider services.

Along with this you will need a good Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and had experienceof working across multi-disciplinary teams and services, with an understanding of care pathways and best practice of meeting needs ofpeoplewith learning disability and / or autism.

In addition you will need good analytical and reporting / writing skills to collate and interpret information to complete the reviews.

You will need to have good interpersonal skills as the roles will includecontact with families and carers of those deceased as well as a variety of professionals, dealing withsensitiveand what at times can be distressinginformation.
