Trust Senior Finance Officer

**Salary: Grade E**

**Hours: 37 hours per week (negotiable), 52 weeks per annum (negotiable)**

**Contract: Permanent**

**Responsible to: Trust Finance Manager**

Principal Responsibilities

To provide and effective and efficient financial support service, dealing with all matters in a confidential and professional manner.

To maintain accurate financial records and operate in accordance with financial regulations at all times.

Supporting the Head of HR in the monthly processing of Payroll including the input of overtime, salary information and travel claims for all staff to inform the outsourced payroll function.

Supporting the Trust Finance Manager and being part of an “outstanding” finance team.

Key Roles
- Raise invoices to organisations as directed to ensure all income due is collected.
- Set up and maintain records of income and details of any outstanding sums working with the Trust Finance Manager.
- Recording all income onto the Trusts Accounting software system.
- Raising orders onto the Trust accounting system for goods and services as directed by Senior Colleagues.
- Coordinating invoices to ensure that all payments to be made are made in a timely way.
- To maintain good and organised records to support audit processes
- To contribute to the preparation of the final accounts and statutory financial statements and other financial analysis as required, in line with agreed deadlines
- To provide accurate budget monitoring and forecasting information in liaison with budget holders
- Managing month end and year end processes
- Input staff payroll claims onto the Trusts payroll system
- Acting as an ambassador for the central Finance and HR teams by providing good administrative support to all colleagues

Support for the Trust

To be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, security and confidentiality, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.

Support the finance department by undertaking other tasks when required

To contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the Trust

Appreciate and support the role of other professionals.

Attend meetings as required.

To participate in training and other learning activities and performance management as required.

**Salary**: £28,934.00-£32,000.00 per year
