An opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Supervisor based in Central Hitchin, Hertfordshire, with a supplier of Artisan Italian Foods.This role would suit an experienced person who lives locally and drives.

**Our client is a supplier of Artisan Italian Foods and the Business is comprised of the Warehouse - which is small and perfectly organized - where all the food is stored on a racking system - and is designed around a Freezer & Cold Store plus Prep roomfor the packing of Italian goods for Clients - who are mainly Chefs & Restaurants.On their First Floor, they have a large Office and rest area, including a kitchen, shower & changing facilities.

**Our client is looking for a hardworking, ambitious, and experienced Warehouse Supervisor for their fast-growing and dynamic company and the role gives you the potential to grow with the company.As the Warehouse Supervisor you will be responsiblefor the daily coordination and execution of all warehouse and related office administration:
**About the responsibilities
**As Warehouse Supervisor the main duties are as the link between the warehouse, stock management, suppliers, deliveries and the office.Duties include:

- Co-ordinating food suppliers and deliveries, ensuring goods are received and dispatched correctly
- Checking shipping documents for accuracy
- Organising and controlling the warehouse stock and Inventory
- Simple food preparation
- Equipment cleaning and maintenance
- Ensuring the warehouse is clean and tidy
- Cold storage warehouse management for temperature-controlled stock
- Overseeing Import Customs Documentation for accuracy from Suppliers in Italy - training will be given
- Following the high standards/rules of the workplace health and safety policies
- Developing stock movement and storage systems to receive and store items and warehouse planning
- Drive the company Refrigerated Van with the packed Orders, then travelling from Hitchin to Bermondsey to deposit the Order boxes in a cold store - and then return.

**About you
**To be successful for the role of Warehouse Supervisor, you need to have / be:

- A food industry background, ideally working with Italian Foods
- An understanding of stock and database management, and creation of Invoices - training will be given to manage all database and finance systems.
- Organised and dedicated

**About the hours & rewards
**In the role of Warehouse Supervisor, the average day will be from 17.00 to 1am - with some occasional earlier starts, depending on business requirements and preparations for Events and Special Parties.This role is full-time and is across six daysMonday to Saturday inclusive.
For the role of Warehouse Supervisor, there is a salary on offer of £26,000 to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include:
