Ace Education Manchester is an alternative provision and training provider in Manchester City Centre. We are looking for Learning Support Mentors to support our KS3 and KS4 learners and make a positive impact on their personal development and academic outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Deliver one to one academic support at the centre and in the community to support learners to be able to access the curriculum and achieve their expected outcomes
- Work as part of a team to deliver interventions that meet the needs of individuals who face barriers in accessing mainstream education
- Support learners to develop their English and Maths knowledge and take an active role in their personal development through classroom based work and offsite educational visits
- Provide assistance to teachers in class by responding to pupils’ needs, adapting to scenarios within the classroom and enabling the teacher to deliver their lesson
- Build and sustain positive relationships with students
- Contribute to the day to day running of the centre
- Take an active role in promoting the welfare and safeguarding of the children at Ace Education Manchester
- A full UK drivers’ licence
- Experience working with young people with SEN or SEMH needs
- Have a passion for supporting pupils with complex needs
- The ability to communicate effectively, foster strong relationships and de-escalate challenging behaviour
- Have a strong understanding of safeguarding practices and procedures

Ace Education Manchester is commited to the safeguarding of the children and young people accessing our service. Our principal aim is to follow best practice in safeguarding as per Working Together to Safeguard Children UK Statutory Guidance and Keeping Children Safe in Education.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Temp to perm

**Salary**: £59.00-£65.00 per day
