Five Education is supporting several challenging secondary schools in Bristol. We are looking for Learning Support Assistants on a supply basis. This is for a general LSA to help support the class, and help several children on a one-one level who strugglewith their behaviour. Some experience in behaviour management is desirable but not essential. The students respond to a well-structured day and positive praise from adults. This role is temporary at the moment but has the potential to become long-term if youget along well.
Responsibilities and duties:
Supporting the students in the class
Assisting the students in their work
Working 1:1 and in small groups
Implementing behaviour management tools in line with the school's policy
Essential Criteria:
A flexible and resourceful approach
2-12 months of experience working with children or young adults
Patient and able to relate to the students
Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa)
Two recent child-based references and relevant DBS/ Police checks
Access to bicycle, car, or near main bus routes.
Able to work 8.30-3.30, 4-5 days per week term time only
