Job Title - Arboricultural Surveyor

**Salary**: Up to £35k pa dependent on skills and experience with company car allowance and other benefits.

Location: Home Based - Central England. Travel will be required, hence a full clean driving licence is essential.

General hours of work are 40 hours per week, between Monday and Friday

Who is Chevron Green Consultancy

Chevron Green Consultancy (CGC) is a trading division of CGS.

Our professional arboriculture consultancy teams, Chevron Green Consultancy, helps landowners to fulfil their obligations as responsible tree owners. This includes arboricultural, ecological, and sustainability advice on tree health, short and long term management requirements and all aspects of individual tree and tree group ownership and care.

Our clients come from both the public and private sectors including highways, rail, utilities and local authorities. We also provide arboriculture consultancy services to housing associations, developers and others in the construction industry. Many of them have been using our services for many years, returning to us time and again for repeat arboriculture consultancy advice.

About the role of Arboricultural Surveyor

You will be joining the professional and friendly CGC team working remotely from home covering all work locations and clients. Works will be for varied clients including Highways, Local Authorities, housing associations, infrastructure and private sector. Our work covers large parts of England and Wales from South Coast to Midlands area with flexibility and ability to spend nights away, driving to locations and ability to work remotely are key skills which would be essential for this role. Continued professional and personal development and training provided. Ideal home location would be in the Midlands, but not essential.

Responsibilities of an Arboricultural Surveyor:

- Tree inspections and hazard identification including mitigation specification
- Tree condition reports
- Arboricultural method statements and impact assessments
- Pest and disease identification and management proposals
- BS:5837 surveys and all services provided by CGC to the UK based clients

What good looks like as an Arboricultural Surveyor
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as part of a small team
- Prioritise tasks and manage their own workload
- Approachable, proactive, ambitious, and well organised
- Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Qualified to minimum level 3/4 in Arboriculture or equivalent
- IT skills and literacy in Microsoft Office suite
- Full, clean driving licence
- Able to stay away overnight for up to 2 nights per week

What else loooks good as an Arboricultural Surveyor
- Professional Tree Inspectors qualification
- Minimum of 2 years' experience of arboricultural inspections
- Experience of delivering services within a commercially competitive environment
- Ecological and wider environmental experience or habitat management
