An opportunity has arisen for a **Procurement Lead** - Testing** to join the Procurement Team in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. The purpose of the role is to provide global category procurement leadership across testing services.

This is an exciting role to support the development and certification of Fortescue WAE products, leading the commercial discussions.

This role has become vital due to the growth and diversification of our business, which is still on an upward trajectory.

We are looking for an individual with some experience in product validation and a strong background working closely with technical departments from a commercial perspective.

**Job role**:

- Responsible for the on-time delivery of testing solutions.
- Create and report against Category Procurement Strategy, gaining consensus with internal and external stakeholders;
- Preparation and issue of tenders;
- Carry out commercial negotiations with suppliers for key contracts;
- Achieve cost reductions associated with the delivery of projects to meet financial goals and report versus target on a monthly basis.
- Supplier selection and nomination in conjunction with technical & commercial stakeholders;
- Working with ERP system to raise purchase orders and ensure on time delivery;
- To lead a significant programme of work on behalf of the Procurement team, being responsible for all aspects of procurement performance;
- Implementation of NDA’s and T’s and C’s with supplier in conjunction with the Fortescue WAE Legal Team;
- Responsible for resolving any invoice queries arising from PO’s;
- Creation and development of supplier performance to ensure effective supplier development plans are in place and measures executed;
- Develop improvement plans with suppliers who fail to meet business requirements;
- Chair regular business and programme reviews with key suppliers ensuring strategic alignment is achieved;
- Follow the Purchasing Procedures of the company;
- Create, develop and continuously improve the business procurement processes and procedures within a multi programme environment;
- Take a leading role within the team to support the personal development of graduate/new starter staff;
- The post holder will undertake other duties as may be required to achieve the Company’s objectives, commensurate with the grading of the post.

**You’ll have**:

- Previous experience negotiating testing services is essential
- Stakeholder management skills, you will be working with multiple departments to deliver solutions within a condensed schedule
- Worked in a complex, environment with spend across different global locations;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work under own initiative and under pressure, in a controlled manner;
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
- Strong data driven and visual reporting skills, ensuring quantified status and risk is communicated;
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills;
- Strong analytical skills allied with an ability and commitment to meet deadlines;
- Build and develop interdepartmental relationships within Fortescue WAE to provide overall business improvement;
- Microsoft Excel and office skills;
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation;
- Supplier visits are part of the role, so a clean driving license is essential.
