We are excited to announce that we are currently seeking to recruit a Debt Adviser to join our thriving charity within County Durham. The purpose of the role is to provide advice on debt management and welfare benefits whilst ensuring that the work conforms to the Advice Quality Standard (AQS). The post holder will empower clients to ensure income maximisation through the take up of appropriate benefits and signpost to agencies where appropriate.

**Role**:Debt Advisor

**Hours**:Full time - 37 hours

**Salary**:£25,466 p/a

**Duration - **Fixed term until March 2024

**Location**:Durham County

**Proposed date for interview**: W/c 21.08.2023

The purpose of the role is to provide tailored advocacy, advice and support

to individuals and families struggling with debts, and provide them with help to overcome and prevent them from falling into similar situations again.

There are a number of positions available, and advisors will be delivering advice to both local and national clients through a variety of channels.

**Role**:MaPs Debt Adviser/Trainee Debt Adviser

**Hours**:Full time - 37 hours per week

**Salary - **£22,338 -£24,013 dependent upon experience.

**Location**:Citizens Advice County Durham

**Proposed date for interview**: week commencing the 27th February 2023
