**Job overview**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Senior Healthcare Assistant to join the team on the Same Day Emergency Care unit at Rochdale Infirmary.

You will be working on a fast paced environment with a high patient turnover as part of an excellent, hard working team.

The SDEC unit work as a team to maintain a safe, comfortable, patient-focused environment for the people who live within the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale footprint.

**Main duties of the job**:
You will need to have previous experience within the healthcare role, ideally within the acute setting. You will need to have a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience and be willing to undertake relevant further training including; Recording of Physiological Observations, IV Cannulation, Dressings, Venepuncture and ECG's.

You will be expected to support the nursing and medical team in providing excellent care to our patients and ensuring flow throughout the department.
