**The Job**

Accounts Assistant required for a creative manufacturing company producing high-end luxury goods for the interiors market. Supporting the Finance team with all aspects of accounting.

This is a wide and varied position which requires you to have a can-do attitude, friendly & polite with experience and interest in financial accounting. This is a position for a person with a responsible hard-working mindset.

You will be working in a creative environment with a diverse workforce who are professional, conscientious and supportive.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Opening new client accounts and processing credit checks.
- Generating Sales invoicing from Salesforce System/Emax including verification of components including matching to POs and pricing.
- Issuing monthly customer statements and investigating/resolving all discrepancies to ensure timely payment.
- Purchase Invoice Checking
- Monthly Supplier reconciliations
- Bi-weekly payment run preparation
- Daily Bank reconciliations
- Processing employee expenses and all company credit card transactions
- Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Updating the Fixed Asset Register
- Assisting with the preparation of accruals and prepayments
- Assisting with the preparation of quarterly VAT Return
- Updating internal systems and ensuring data coded correctly to the nominal ledger
- Assisting in stock control and reporting.
- Support of monthly Management Reporting.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**

Ability to work as part of small Finance team reporting to the Finance Manager and be prepared to get involved in all aspects of accounting to gain further experience.

Keen interest and experience in Financial Accounting and transaction entering.

Knowledge of Accounting Reconciliations for Balance Sheet controls.

Ability to interact across the business to gain knowledge/support issue resolution.
