**What You'll Do**

The Central Government Client Executive role is responsible for the overall strategic direction, service creation and go-to-market plan for the UK Central Government sector in Cisco. This leader will encourage a team missioned to align to the segments desired business outcomes, by working to embed Cisco’s entire portfolio into the sector. This position requires a strong background in executive-level communication, business development, and building customer and partner relationships. This role involves positioning and promoting Central Government as a key got to market sector for Cisco.

**Role & Responsibilities**

Define sales strategy, plan, develop, and own the landscape for the Central Government Sector, while driving Cisco's strategy and meeting Cisco's financial targets, across multiple countries.

Curate with the extended team an ambitious sales strategy passionate about growth in Central Government accounts. Build out strategies to consider key routes to market and opportunity profiles to meet financial targets whilst completing Cisco’s strategic mandate.

Working at an executive level with key segment customers, Cisco country sales organisations and Cisco public sector sales teams to identify and development new areas of business partnership and growth.

Lead a team of strategic account managers and other segment resources to jointly envisage, craft and accelerate progressive offers into the sector. The team will be composed of direct reports and virtual resources.

You will be an integral part of the business planning process and ensure close interaction and partnership with the Architecture sales teams, the local Partner Organisations, and Global Service Providers account teams on all aspects of building the Central Government business.

Advise country leadership of challenges and potential new offers to work in a secure government sector.

**Who You'll Work With**

The Client Executive will work hand in hand with Cisco Architectures, Partner Organisation leadership, Cisco Services along with other operational functions (Marketing, Finance, Legal, Support, etc.) and external partners to develop the Central Government business. This position will work closely with Cisco Global Public Sector leadership to drive key business initiatives spanning all Central Government segments to drive customer acquisition, expansion and retention. As an SME on the Central Government sector, this role will work very closely with both global Product Management/Engineering and Sales/Marketing to ensure product-market fit for UK Central Government go-to-market strategy.

**Who You Are**
- 3+ years of Sales Management experience in a sales organization
- 10+ years of sales/business development experience
- You will need to demonstrate examples of envisaging, building and accelerating new propositions in the UK Central Government Sector
- Solid understanding and network within UK Central Government and appreciation of key market trends, you will need to be credible with key clients
- Strong leadership skills in a cross-functional teaming environment majoring on business development activities
- Demonstrated successes as a sales leader and mentor in a fast paced and exciting sales environment
- Develops an insightful view of the overall business landscape, including financial and partner business drivers
- Understands how to evaluate, interpret, and incorporate financial data in daily decisions to understand the organization's financial goals and focus the efforts in solving sophisticated needs
- Consistent record to build and maintain executive level relationships at customers, partners and within Cisco
- Experience building concrete long and short-term account plans based on a deep understanding of the impacts of business and technology trends
- Identifying and owning the appropriate resources (internal and external) required to develop and execute major commercial critical initiatives
- Working across boundaries - ability to work cross-functionally with multiple business units, partners and solution teams in sophisticated business engagements to use multiple IT domains in building vertical/segment specific solutions for our customers
- Strategic Vision - develops short and long-term strategy for commercial models within the sector
