Lab Technician
Are you an experienced School Laboratory Technician seeking a new opportunity? Or are you a recent Science Graduate eager to commence your laboratory career in a supportive, fast paced setting?
Tradewind Recruitment is assisting a high achieving mainstream Secondary School in Brent, North West London with the recruitment of a Laboratory Technician to join their Science Department. This is a full time, Long Term contract that will commence ASAP andrun until the end of the academic year in the first instance.
This position will see you working as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of practical curriculum delivery across the entire Science Department. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Preparation and assembly of apparatus and components for demonstration, class practical work, assessments and examinations.
- To undertake minor repairs and modifications when necessary and to assist in the construction of apparatus.
- To assist in maintaining records of apparatus, reagents and materials, including inventories and records of breakages.
- To inform the teacher in charge of stock to be replaced/ordered. To pack/unpack and check apparatus and chemicals.
This position would suit an experienced School Laboratory Technician seeking a new challenge, or a recent Science Graduate eager to utilise their laboratory skills and experience You must have excellent Scientific skills, good communication abilities and beconfident working within a busy, high energy setting.

- Hold a Bachelor of Science (any discipline) at minimum
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
