Harries Planning Design Management provides a complete building design and project management service taking projects from conception, through design and planning to the delivery of buildings, new extensions and sympathetic renovations. Based in West Wales we are a small multi-disciplinary professional team of town planners, surveyors and technicians working closely together delivering projects in the commercial, domestic, housing and rural sectors
A vacancy has arisen for an experienced Town Planner to join our team
**Responsibilities**
- Preparation & coordination of details for discharging planning conditions.
- Planning enforcement works
- Client liaison.
- Engagement with local planning authorities, statutory and non-statutory environmental bodies and other stakeholders
- Mentoring of junior staff
**Requirements**:
- A relevant planning degree.
- Full Royal Town Planning Institute membership.
- 3 years’ post qualification experience of working in planning practice or a local government planning team.
- A sound knowledge of planning law and procedures.
- Strong technical expertise.
- Commercially aware.
**The Individual**
The successful applicant must be flexible and self-motivated and be expected to demonstrate the following:
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Team worker, but able to work with limited supervision
- Report writing skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the aptitude to rationally explain, explore and discuss town planning issues.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, determined and resilient.
