Shipping Clerk - Portsmouth (PO2)

Are you looking to excel within the freight industry? Do you have knowledge on the import and export process?

An opportunity has arisen within a well known and established ferry freight company in Portsmouth as a Shipping Clerk. With no day the same, you will play a pivotal part in completing customs declarations and providing excellent customer service to their hugecustomer base.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete Customs declarations using specific software and HMRC systems for Imports and Exports to/from the Channel Islands and EU.
- Using the CNS system for inventory linking.
- To deal with taking VAT and other Customs charges from our customers.
- Distribute authorised gate passes to collecting drivers.
- Carry out additional duties or functions delegated by the Port Manager, other Managers and Supervisors.

Hours
- Rotated Shift Every 2 weeks.
- AM - 6:00AM - 14:00PM
- PM - 14:00PM - 22:00PM
- 1 in every 5 Saturday

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of the import/export process or a strong background in Logistics.
- Be able to go undergo a police check to work within a restricted zone.
- Computer literate.
- Team Player.
- Strong communication.
