Primary role:
As a Driver you are responsible to lead your team, manage resources, coordinate activities and provide an effective waste collection service. To ensure the service is delivered on the contract in accordance to the specification with guidance from a Supervisor. Work within Health and Safety legislative requirements. Ensure full compliance with Urbaser Quality and Environmental procedures. Key Responsibilities:

- To follow safety instructions and drive in a safe, lawful and efficient manner
- Adhere to Road Traffic Legislation
- Carry out vehicle checks daily
- Report any defects to the Supervisor immediately
- Perform duties in a courteous, clean and efficient manner
- To carry out any other such reasonable job-related tasks as the Company may require you to undertake from time to time. Key Knowledge/Qualification:

- Knowledge of current transport legislation (Road Traffic Act 1988) including (Working time Directive)
- Experience of driving vehicles in a commercial environment
- Have local knowledge of collection route
- LGV driving experience, up to date Driver CPC and a Digi Tacho Card
- IOSH Health & Safety Qualification
- To be able to follow management instructions
- Good communication skills
- Full Driving Licence with no more than 9 active points and successful completion of an in-house driver assessment process that includes knowledge of the equipment how it operates
