**Job Title**:Floor Layer

**Location**:Preston, Lancashire.

**Salary**: £26,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience.

Are you an experienced commercial Floor Layer looking for a new challenge?

Due to continued success and company growth we are looking to recruit an experienced commercial Floor Layer to join our amazing team

**Roles and responsibilities**:

- Prepare surfaces for flooring installation by cleaning, levelling, and smoothing.
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specifications.
- Install flooring materials using adhesives, nails, or staples
- Ensure all work is performed to code and complies with safety guidelines.
- Clean and maintain job sites, tools, and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with clients and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Experience and extensive knowledge in preparing, laying and setting of vinyl floors, hot welded joints, coved skirting, screeding.
- Experience in commercial estimates.

- Proven experience as a floor layer cap and cove flooring
- In-depth knowledge of flooring materials, installation techniques, and tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and building codes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy flooring materials.
- Valid driver's license
