JOB TITLE: Area Supervisor

RESPONSIBLE TO: Branch Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To carry out the initial Assessment of clients within your designated area; to complete client Home Files, Office Files and all relevant documentation before commencement of care.

2. To participate as required in the multi-disciplinary assessment of client needs and the subsequent planning of Client Care.

3. To liaise when appropriate with all external professional care agencies (OT’s; Care Manager’s; CPN’s, and other nursing professionals, etc) in respect of developing a total package of care for a client.

4. To undertake quarterly and Annual Reviews of each client, forward to Area Manager and action any findings.

5. To report to the Area Manager on a weekly basis with regard to your own area of responsibility, including the activity levels and outcomes for clients.

6. To monitor weekly report sheets and financial transaction sheets for designated area accurately noting client change of circumstances.

7. To manage client issues within designated area
- Investigating and reporting on issues
- Implementing necessary remedial actions
- Monitor and review above actions
- Liaise with client
- Liaise with Area Manager

8. To be responsible for the On Call Telephone on a rota basis, competently deal with the issues arising from calls received on it and accurately maintain a telephone log of all calls made and received and amend care staff allocation on Staff Plan as required.

9. Take part in a comprehensive hand over at start and end of day, ensuring that a detail report is given to the delegated person on call.

10. To ensure carers attend all client calls promptly, on time and stay for the allocated call duration unless documented otherwise.

11. Dip sample and monitor quality from ETMS, Proformas, and report booklets

12. To undertake staff supervision meetings of all allocated care staff and action any findings.

13. To liaise closely with Planning Officers to ensure that during the induction of new care staff they introduce themselves, explain their role and responsibilities and maintain close contact with the relevant new employee throughout their probationary period and thereafter.

14. To identify and undertake development with carers when required.

15. To take an active role in staff development and training, including regular, minute staff meetings; and induction of trainee carer’s.

16. To ensure quality care is provided to all service users at all times in the designated area.

17. To complete all paperwork accurately and concisely in accordance with Company Policy.

18. To comply with all Company Policies as appropriate.

19. To ensure that the day-to-day Care Services are operated in accordance with the latest Health & Safety legislation.

20. To Meet all KPI’s there are set by the Directors

21. To perform any other duties that may be seen fit to be delegated to you by a member of the Senior Management Team.

Pay: £12.50-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
