Mig/tig Welder

At South West Engineering & Fabrications Ltd we manufacture parts and assemblies for a variety of industries. Our Company’s main activities are laser cutting, folding and metal fabrication across a wide range of customers.

**About the role**

We are looking to recruit a General Welder & Fabricator operative to work alongside and support the existing team contributing to tasks cross the board by producing the specified parts on time and to a high standard.

**Responsibilities**
- MIG & TIG welding - stainless, Alloy, Mild Steel and other general fabrication work
- Setting up components for welding as per the process/ specifications
- Welding repetitive jig work
- Manufacturing components to meet customer requirements
- Self-inspection of work in accordance with the company QMS
- Ensuring Company Health & Safety requirements are met
- Read, understand and implement engineering drawings

**Location & commitments**
- Permanent role based at our workshop in Balmaclellan. Monday - Friday (40 hours per week 8 - 4.30pm)
- Overtime may be required at short notice with occasional weekend work
- Competence in MIG & TIG welding
- Able to read and interpret drawings
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Methodical and careful in their approach to work
- Able to work as part of a team
- Forklift and coded welding certificates would be advantageous

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £12.00-£15.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Balmaclellan, DG7 3PW: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Welding Fabricators: 1 year (preferred)
