**Job Overview**
This role is a core delivery position within Mitie Procurement and will report into the Senior Procurement Operations Manager. You will be required to Manage the Procurement Executives within the Procurement Operations team to support and improve their performance providing guidance, direction, mentoring and support. The role works with the Strategic Procurement team to support all Mitie Business Units and Functional Leads, delivering Mitie's identified procurement strategies, to achieve Exceptional Value, Every Day. This means:
- Leading a team of Procurement Executives in line with Mitie people management requirements and the overall plans for Mitie Procurement, as agreed with the Procurement Operations Manager
- Ensuring supply chain solutions are fit for purpose, aligned to business need and represent lowest total cost, best service, highest quality, ethical & sustainable supply with relevant impactful supply base innovation
- Conduct rigorous professional sourcing activity, manage data integrity, support and conduct Supplier Relationship Management, undertake bid support and carry out contract mobilisation
- Work closely with key stakeholders, especially the Strategic Procurement Managers to align procurement plans & delivery with the business requirements they have identified
- Implement the defined processes and ways of working across six strategic priorities of People, Cost, Technology, Customer, Process & Suppliers
- Conduct benchmarking, price reviews, market intelligence and supplier audits for Mitie procurement
- Develop own capabilities in line with the requirements of the Procurement Academy and act as a role model for Procurement Executives

- Best value for money for every pound that Mitie spends, achieving annualised and in-year savings targets
- An outstanding service provided to all Procurement, Functional leads and BU stakeholders
- Manage and develop direct reports to ensure excellent engagement and outstanding capability, with the team following agreed procurement approaches, technology and processes
- Learn the skills, develop the competencies and build knowledge to act as a foundation for future development within procurement, whilst making a tangible impact on Mitie's performance. To achieve CIPS level 4, if applicable, via the Apprenticeship route within the Procurement Academy
**Tasks**:
Engage with stakeholders & suppliers to optimise procurement delivery. Specific tasks include:
- Work with the Senior Procurement Operations Manager and Strategic Procurement Managers to execute the agreed procurement strategy
- Through managing direct reports actively increase engagement across the procurement operations team and support the personal & career development of all members of the team
- Use all procurement processes and technology (created by the Procurement Process team) to ensure that Procurement Operations maximise value delivery for Mitie and its customers
- Implement initiatives improving Mitie's ethical and sustainable sourcing credentials
- Use existing technology solutions to control and manage our total spend, prepare & execute RFx/eRFx/eAuctions, centrally capture all contracts, make it easy to do the right thing as well as report on and control leakage
- Support the development of new technologies and processes to continually improve Mitie's procurement strategy, capability and delivery
- Conduct bid support, maintain data integrity, answer sourcing enquiries, operate the full sourcing cycle, undertake contract mobilisation, supplier audits, price reviews & benchmarking, create procurement communications and capture market intelligence for the Mitie procurement function
- Ongoing running of Mitie's Supplier Relationship Management program
- Measure Supplier Performance (contractual KPIs and SLAs) address performance gaps with suppliers and escalate to SRM program or other members of the Procurement function as required
- Undertake supplier negotiations and create contracts to maximise value to Mitie
- Accurately report on Procurement Operations metrics and KPIs to monitor performance
- Support engagement and procurement strategy improvement groups
- Help to improve Procurement NPS through addressing feedback from internal (& external) customers
- Manage the Procurement Executives within the Procurement Operations team to support and improve their performance providing guidance, direction, mentoring and support
