The Store Operative reports to the Stores Supervisor. The Store Operative will be situated between the main stores and the EPS stores based on a set rotations schedule. The Store Operative will ensure internal customer requirements are met, both in terms of quality and quantity._

**Roles & responsibilities**:

- Pro-actively handle the processing of all incoming stock and ensure it gets captured with accuracy and within a timeous manner.
- Receiving Stock / Bin stock items away in allocated areas / Issue stock to staff and contractors.
- Unloading of delivery vehicles and ensure all H&S rules and regulations are followed.
- Complete a daily vehicle checklist for both the reach truck and counter balance.
- Provide counter services to our staff to assist them in finding the correct part(s)
- Provide assistance to staff/contractors to log the accurate booking out of stock.
- Maintain stock accuracy by performing weekly visual and manual stock takes.
- Process purchase requisitions when required.
- Monitor EPS consumables on a continuous basis.
- Ensure daily Housekeeping and safety requirements are met at all times.
- Provide cover in any of the Store areas as required.
- Weekly site stock checks to be caried out and actioned accordingly.
- Expedite current and overdue orders to ensure the continuity of the business objectives.
- Process GRN’s daily.

**Qualifications & experience**:
Essential:

- Experience within a similar role with a minimum of two years’ experience.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate to all employees at all levels within the company.
- Must be qualified to operate heavy plant equipment. (FLT’s)
- Willingness to learn new skills and have a can‐do attitude.
- Good understanding of the stores function.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise own work.
- Be diligent and have the end goal in mind.
- Good timekeeping and solution driven.
- Computer literate.
