**Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant**

**Location**: Nottingham, United Kingdom

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents to monitor student progress and adapt support strategies as needed.
- Encourage independence and self-confidence in students by promoting their strengths and addressing their individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, and provide regular feedback to relevant stakeholders.
- Support students during transitions between activities and ensure their safety and well-being at all times.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs is highly desirable.
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal development of students with SEN.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, demonstrating initiative and flexibility as required.
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain) is essential.
