An exciting opportunity for a Senior Social Work Practitioner /AMHP in Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) 24hr Hub Service in West Sussex.

Pay £48 per hour LTD

Location - Bridge house - Worthing

Rolling rota
- 4 days on 4 days off

Working hours - 2100 - 0700 (Night AMHP)

Role Information/Duties:
This is a new role created as part of the modernising and organisational changes of mental health services in West Sussex.

A key part of the redesign was the implementation of a "Hub and Spoke" model that provides a 24-hour AMHP service, 365 days a year.

The postholder will be required to undertake Mental Health Act Assessments as part of a rolling rota shift pattern as well as the role of the lead practitioner on a shift, using their specialist knowledge to triage work coming into the hub.

Qualifications and/or experience:

- Registered qualified professional (Social Work, Nurse, OT, psychologist)
- Currently authorised as an AMHP (Post-Grad Certificate in Mental Health)
- Extensive knowledge of and be able to apply, a range of complex and specialist legislation i.e. the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, Care Act, Children Act and other relevant case law
- Valid driving licence
- Extensive experience of working independently undertaking MHA assessments
