**Highways Inspector**
We are currently working with an organisation in the East Midlands who require the interim assistance of a **Highways Inspector**.
Details
Start: ASAP
Rate: £26 per hour via umbrella
Duration: 3 months initially
Fully Onsite Working based
Role Responsibilities
- Carry out cyclical inspections of the public highway and accurately record the conditions across the County
- See the repairs process through from the issuing of works orders to contractors to carry out repairs
- Supervising contractors and their working arrangements, including the measurement and certification of works
- Good communication skills are essential as you will be regularly communicating with residents, elected members and other teams in the council
- Providing advice on various highways matters
- An accredited Highways Inspector Qualification would also be advantageous
- An enthusiastic and motivated person with experience of highways maintenance
- Confident and assertive, you can prioritise appropriately and meet deadlines
- A systematic, methodical and disciplined approach when dealing with documentation
