Hiking Leader

BrightonYoga specialises in green local and international tourism and organises wellness activities like hiking, yoga and forest bathing in Brighton's local nature reserves and the South Downs. We also organise nature-based team-building events.

It's a city full of music, art and good food, but not far, in Brighton's backyard, you find the Southdowns, with its rolling hills, stunning views and local wildlife. This combination is unique, and this is what makes Brighton so beautiful. Come along and explore Brighton's countryside. We can organise the perfect day out for locals and tourists, including lunch and transport.

**Team and Partners**

BrightonYoga works with independent yoga and hiking instructors, artists, therapists, and freelancers.

We are looking for positive, caring and dynamic hiking leaders and outdoor enthusiasts with experience and local knowledge about Brighton's countryside. All the walks will be preplanned and in a low-land area. We usually have more than one person walking along, but the hiking leader should know the area and be able to lead the group safely.

We mainly seek freelancers with a mountain leader or low-land leader degree, outdoor first aid and insurance. Still, we would also love to hear from you if you're an outdoor enthusiast with specialist knowledge about history, birds, plants, foraging, nature connection or similar.

**Responsibilities**:
Hiking Leader
- Supervise and lead a group through the countryside
- Follow along a preplanned route and timeline as close as possible
- Ensure that everyone is safe and involved in any activities
- Making sure everyone is having a good time

Outdoor Enthusiast
- Walking along with the group, following the instructions of the hiking leader
- Talking with individuals, ideally sharing local knowledge
- You should be comfortable talking with a group.
- Ensure that everyone is safe and involved in any activities.
- Making sure everyone is having a good time

**Job Type**: Freelance

**Salary**: £80.00-£150.00 per day
