D.J. Thomas operates across a number of transport and travel sectors, employing over 50 staff and running over 40 vehicles. Our activities include a large school transport interest, wide-ranging private hire activities, a successful coach holiday programme and busy vehicle maintenance facility.

**Position**

Do you want to be part of our energetic team of Engineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet of vehicles? If yes, then this Mechanic position could just be the job for you

**Responsibilities**
- Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing and parts replacement
- Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used
- Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations
- Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries
- Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair
- Preparing coaches in accordance with the company’s high standards

**Requirements**:

- Attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a deadline orientated work environment
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules
- Good all-round organisational skills
- Minimum 2-3 years recent and relevant experience gained within the industry
- A basic electrical understanding

**Other**
- Driving license is required
- A valid PCV licence would be advantageous

**Salary**: Available upon request
