A Minehead based company have a Full Time Payroll & Accountancy Clerk vacancy available to commence in April 2023 in their busy Payroll Bureau & Accountancy Business

**Previous experience essential**

Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours per week

9am to 5pm (30 mins for lunch)

No Weekends

28 days holiday (incl of all Bank Holidays)

Salary - Dependant on level of experience - ranges from £20,500 - £24000

Workplace Pension in place

**Job Description - Payroll**

**Includes:

Inputting data & compiling information in various formats from different clients onto payroll system

Processing weekly/fortnightly/monthly payroll runs including calculations when needed

Managing Auto Enrolment including uploading pension reports to relevant pension providers

Checking payroll for accuracy

Understanding of tax & NI

Processing HMRC notifications

Creating relevant reports/payslips as per clients requirements

Instigating BACS payments on behalf of clients

Submitting information to HMRC in a timely manner

Completing year end including P60’s

Liaising with HMRC for any relevant queries

Process CIS returns each month and submitting to HMRC

Paying of clients PAYE liabilities

Inputting data of sales & purchases into software

Analysing & completing Bank reconciliations

Processing credit card statements and reconciling

Preparation of financial summaries and assisting with preparing VAT returns & Tax Returns for Partnerships, Sole Traders & Limited Companies

**Applicant specification**

Must have experience in Payroll and Accounting and a good Computer Knowledge

Experience of Outlook, Excel, Payroll Software, Microsoft Windows & QuickBooks Online

Good numeracy and calculation knowledge

Able to take & understand instructions and be able to learn & retain new information

To speak up and ask questions rather than trying to figure out on their own - we work as a team

Be able to work alongside another person or on their own

Clear & polite telephone manner

Have good communication skills with both other employees and clients to build relationships

A passion to complete work to a high level of accuracy

Be able to look up queries by use of internet

Able to work in a methodical and calm way

Able to work with speed but accuracy and a desire to finish one job before moving onto the next

Willing to accept that holidays cannot be taken from the middle to the end of each month (our busiest time)

**Salary**: £20,500.00-£24,000.00 per year
