**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Blood Collection**: Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws, following established protocols and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- **Specimen Handling**: Properly label, handle, and transport collected specimens, ensuring accurate identification and maintaining sample integrity.
- **Patient Interaction**: Interact with patients, explain procedures, address questions, and create a welcoming and reassuring environment.
- **Healthcare Support**: Assist with various clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and maintaining patient records.
- **Infection Control**: Follow strict infection control measures, maintaining a sterile and hygienic environment during procedures.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with the healthcare team, including nurses, physicians, and laboratory staff, to ensure seamless patient care.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- **Phlebotomy Skills**: Demonstrate proficiency in venipuncture and capillary blood collection techniques.
- **Empathy**: Show compassion and understanding when interacting with patients, especially those who may be anxious about blood draws.
- **Attention to Detail**: Pay meticulous attention to labeling, documentation, and specimen handling.
- **Communication**: Communicate clearly and effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
