FM Conway is currently looking to employ an experienced **Wharf Supervisor** to join our Aggregate and Asphalt division. Reporting to the Business Manager, you will oversee the operations and continuous improvement of the Wharfs. As well as managing the operatives and assisting with discharging vessels. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, managing both our Newhaven and Erith Wharfs.

**The duties of the role will include**:

- Operating the wharf and associated fixed plant efficiently, carrying out daily checks and basic maintenance
- Supervising and motivating the operational team to achieve excellence and continual improvement
- Managing stock levels of fuel, spare parts and necessary lubricants
- Ensuring shipping plans are carried out in an effective and cost-effective manner
- Generating task specific risk assessments and safe working practices, to a satisfactory standard
- Controlling and supervising contractors in accordance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and practices

**What skills and experience do you need?**

We are looking for a strong leader, who has previous wharf experience. You will have excellent health and safety awareness be commercially aware and improvement focused. Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages is essential for this role. You must full UK driving license.
