**Exciting opportunity to join a market-leading, Global industrial supply and engineering business as part of a Site Shift management team. This shift based role is based at a key site in South Wales.**

**Aside from basic salary and shift premium (included in the stated salary range), the role attracts a 10% bonus and generous pension contributions**

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

- You will supervise & control all variety of production plants to ensure customer pipeline demands are met, and production is maintained to meet agreed customer and budget targets
- Working in collaboration with the Remote control room in monitoring & operating plant, improving plant range, flexibility & performance will be part of your role
- Embrace and promote all SHEQ activities including accident & incident investigations
- **A KEY aspect to this role is controlling and supervising contractor personnel in accordance with site rules and regulations and permit to work requirements**:

- **You will ensure all plant operations & associated work is carried out safely to company Standards and Statutory Regulations**:

- Act as Senior Person on Site and implement site emergency plans as required. COMAH responsibilities
- Further you will lead and manage a shift team, and maintain good relationships with Remote control room and all other site personnel
- Have ultimate responsibility for all aspects of site operations - including out of hours
- Provide support to a number of small satellite sites as part of shift rota

About you...
- You have an ONC / HNC in an Engineering discipline - either electrical, instrumentation, chemical engineering or chemical process - and experience of shift team working on a process plant in a position of some responsibility
- Time served experience ideally within Oil, gases, Petrochemical or Pharma / Chemical process environment (ideally including fractional distillation and high pressure transfer schemes & pipelines.
- Experience of control room operations using interfaces including HMI / SCADA / PCS7 Siemens
- You will have worked with P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation diagrams), plant schematics and process flow diagrams (PFD)
- In addition you will develop good base knowledge and understanding of company, industry and statutory standards and codes of practice
- Detailed knowledge of company permit to work procedures and relevant emergency plans (Site, Off Site, Pipeline and Transport Emergency)
- Good basic understanding of current Health, Safety and Environment legislation
