Working with the digital team and e-commerce colleagues to deliver new functionality to the company’s websites and systems; this position will enhance the experience of customers and business users on a global scale. The position involves regression testing,smoke testing, feature and integration testing of Distelecs many commerce websites.

**The Automation Tester position involves**:

- Collaborating closely with colleagues across a multitude of projects; communicating openly and constructively to deliver new functionality according to requirements
- Creating functional test cases based on requirements
- Identifying automation feasible scenarios, writing and executing automation scripts
- Maintaining smoke and regression test packs, analysing smoke and regression test results, and preparing test reports
- Using Jira to raise bug reports and liaising with developers, business analysts and product owners to resolve issues
- Delivering as part of cross-functional Scrum team, participating in sprint planning and ceremonies
- Carrying out manual exploratory testing where test automation isn’t feasible

**We require the Automation Tester to have**:

- Recent experience in a dedicated automation testing position
- Good level of automation experience in Selenium with Java
- Cucumber and Gherkin experience
- API test automation experience
- API testing using tools like SOAP UI/ Postman
- Experience in TDD/ BDD
- Experience using a defect management tool such as Jira/ QC
- Degree or relevant experience in a business or technology related discipline

**We’d love to see**:

- Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD tools
- Knowledge of Selenium Grid and Docker
- Knowledge of JavaScript
- Experience working with an international team (please note, our colleagues in Manchester work to the UK time-zone)
