We are looking for a few male support workers to join the teams below.

**Service H**

Two men are looking for male staff to support them in their
own home in Harlow Green area of Gateshead. The
men are in their late fifties and early sixties and are looking for staff with a positive approach to join their team.

S loves going out and about and has a Motability car that he likes
staff to drive. S likes to have staff who engage with him and he can laugh with. S likes football, certain tv shows like the Bill and London Burning and cars. S needs a staff member to understand him and follows his support plans and would have a
go on the karaoke with him

M likes to go out but also likes to spend time in the house
looking at his newspapers, photos and watching Grease. M is non-verbal but can let staff know how he is feeling. M likes staff who are friendly and understand him, but it may take time for M to build up a relationship with staff.

The shifts are varied in this service, day shifts, and long day sleeps.

**Service M**

I live in a house in Lobley Hill and know the local area well. I am in my late fifties. I am looking for male support workers to join my team. I am in my late fifties and looking for staff who have similar interests to me who can prompt me in my everyday life.

I have a motability car so would like a driver who would be able to drive this and
take me to different places in Tyne and Wear during the day. I enjoy eating out.

What is important to me is a staff member who will engage with me (I like to chat a
lot) and likes football (I don’t mind what team you support as long as you can talk about the game and league). I also enjoy watching the soaps and 70s music.

I can get anxious at times when there’s change or I’m excited about
something and need staff to reassure me at these times.

I have a great sense of humour and looking for a staff member who can have a laugh with me.

The shift would usually be a full day sleep apart from a Sunday which is a 5pm start.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
