**Responsibilities for the Payroll Assistant will include**:

- Perform weekly and monthly payroll processing from initiation to completion, guaranteeing precise and punctual payments for client staff.
- Meet RTI (Real Time Information) requirements, including end-of-year submissions and issuance of P60s.
- Deliver exceptional service to external clients, extending support to managers and partners.
- Administer auto-enrolment duties for clients when necessary.
- Oversee PAYE/NIC and CIS administration.
- Execute statutory calculations and participate in payroll-related discussions.

**To be considered for the role of Payroll Assistant you will be/have**:

- Minimum of 12 months' experience in a payroll bureau or a practice related role
- Familiarity with Iris or Star Payroll Professional software (an advantage)
- Strong understanding of payroll statutory obligations, such as Maternity, Paternity, SSP, Tax, NI, CIS, Auto Enrolment, and Holiday Pay
- Customer-oriented mindset with an efficient and professional approach
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
