We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner to join a well-established and highly regarded business based in Knottingley.

As a Transport Planner you will play a key role in the distribution of finished product and the bringing in of raw material to the factory.

Responsibilities of the Transport Planner include:

- To plan vehicles day to day in the most efficient way.
- Liaise with 3PL to ensure the most cost effective
- Check Driver locations using trackers and phone.
- To update the forwards on progress of collections & deliveries.
- To book vehicles daily with suppliers.
- Provide comprehensive & up to date job lists for all our drivers.
- To invoice all vehicles weekly.
- This list is not exhaustive and you may be asked to carry out other activities within your capabilities.

Skills, Qualifications and educational requirements:

- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office & SAP.
- GCSE in Maths & English.
- Good communication & customer service skills.
- Experience working from a similar environment preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure & cope during high volume peaks.

Good team player with ability to work on individual tasks.
- Ambitious with a view to progress within the company.

Knottingley is commutable from: Castleford, Pontefract, Wakefield, Doncaster, Goole, Sherburn In Elmet etc.

Salary guide for the role is £25000 - £30000 with company benefits and is on a Temp to Perm basis. Hours of work are Monday - Friday 08:00 - 18:00 with a 1 hour lunch break.
