A new service is being developed to deliver specialist community eating disorders service to children and young people aged 8 - 18 years across Shropshire and Telford. The team are looking to develop the service and offer NICE recommended treatment to identified children, young people and their famililes who are being seen by the Young Person Community Eating Disorders Service (YP-CEDS)

We are looking for an experienced Child & Young Person Eating Disorders Practitioner. Working as part of the multi - disciplinary team to assess, plan and implement interventions and care to promote recovery from eating disorders in partnership with individuals, families and carers.

This is a developing service and you will need to have a highly flexible approach to location however you will also have the opportunity to help us genuinely shape and develop a service to be proud of that delivers real benefits to children and young people with an eating disorder as part of the multidisciplinary team working within community settings to provide effective Eating Disorder services for children, young people and their families.

You will need to have a highly flexible approach and be willing to travel across the localilty The team is based in Shrewsbury with satellite services provided across a range of other localities. Evening and weekend work may be required to meet service needs

Our Trust currently provides mental health, learning disability and children and family services across South Staffordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin. We have over 350 inpatient beds and a broad range of community services such as crisis resolution and home treatment, early intervention and memory services.

Our specialist mother and baby, eating disorder and medium secure forensic mental health services care for patients from across the region and we have contracts across the country for IAPT, addiction and some health services in prisons as well as hosting a network for inpatient mental health care for serving military personnel.

Our 3,500 staff serve a local population of 1.1 million in Shropshire and South Staffordshire, and within a range of services based from Leeds to the Isle of Wight and Liverpool to Cambridge.
