Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our small, friendly, and professional tree team. As the Tree Officer you will spend most of your time working in this varied environment carrying out the statutory duties of the Council in respect of trees protected by Trees Preservation Orders and located within a Conservation Area. You will also provide advice to planning officers, developers, Members, and the public on trees and hedges.

Wiltshire is proud of its landscape; trees are highly valued by our communities and people are passionate about their protection. This is a challenging but very rewarding role within a small team. The post will be responsible for a geographical area in central Wiltshire, including towns such as Trowbridge, Warminster, Bradfrod on Avon and Marlborough.

**About the role**

**About You**

You will hold or be working towards an appropriate qualification in Arboriculture and have experience in dealing with trees, preferably from working in Local Government. A valid driving license is essential as you will be responsible for undertaking site visits in your geographical area. Excellent** **communication skills are also essential to help us continue to provide a high quality customer focused planning service.
