**Fundraiser - Trust and Grants / Corporate Fundraising**

**Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 pro rata, approx. 2 days/14 hours per week**

**Start date: Immediate start - Part Time role, Freelance**

**Line Manager: Director**

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled fundraiser with a proven track record of generating multi-year income to join the small team at Maiden Lane Community Centre Camden, London.

This role is being created to support the Director in delivering an ambitious fundraising strategy securing grants from trusts/foundations and statutory bodies.

You will also take the lead on corporate fundraising and individual giving.

To be successful, you will need to be able to demonstrate previous success and knowledge of winning grants from trusts, foundations and statutory organisations. In addition to some experience of corporate fundraising.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Prepare presentations tailored to funding proposals for a range of supporters.
- Research and identify new funding opportunities and build rapport with decision makers.
- Support the Director and Board to develop and maintain relationships with existing and new funders.
- Analyse, understand and interpret information relating to the impact that our services have on beneficiaries.
- Translate individual stories and impact assessments into compelling narrative for funders.
- Ensure reporting requirements are met and that funders are kept informed of how their support has enabled the charity to continue its work.
- Maintain existing funder and supporter relationships to maximise income and ensure long-term funding relationships.
- Ensure that records are up to date, complete and stored and used in compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Work with our Finance Officer to ensure timely invoicing in line with contracts.
- Carry out other duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Director.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated team player who is able to work independently on fundraising proposals using their own initiative as well as being able to collaborate with the team and Director on larger proposals to increase the likelihood of success. Most importantly, you will have a pro-active work ethic, a friendly approach and have a positive outlook on life. You are committed to go the extra mile for our service and the people we support.

**Skills, Abilities, Experience**

***- Experience and proven track record of raising funds from trusts & foundations, and growing income.
- Experience of working effectively with a range of colleagues to translate ideas into persuasive proposals.
- Knowledge of charitable grant giving organisations, funding policies, data protection and fundraising best practice.
- Are an outstanding communicator with attention to detail and the ability to persuade, motivate and inspire.
- Experience of understanding and interpreting accounts and financial information for presentation in proposals for funders and supporters.
- Ability to prepare costs and cashflow projections for proposals with support from Director.
- Have a demonstrable passion for and commitment to the mission and values of Maiden Lane Community Centre.
- Knowledge of GDPR and Fundraising Regulator Codes.
- Strong time management skills to ensure effective use of time on proposals and prospects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Known to be reliable, trustworthy, dependable and accountable.
- Must have a mature personality and be able to travel, as needed, to the Office.
- Good digital skills and confidence, including competent use of Microsoft packages inc. Word, Powerpoint, Excel.
- Competent use of Zoom, Whatsapp and other communication and messaging services.
- Strong organisational skills to balance workload and consistently meet deadlines.

**Qualifications**

***- Desirable: Formal learning or training in fundraising and knowledge of fundraising methodologies.

***- Ability to demonstrate current eligibility to work within the United Kingdom.
