**Independent Domestic Violence Advisor - Team Leader - Manchester**

Liquid Personnel is currently looking Independent Domestic Violence Advisor to join our client’s team in Manchester_._

Due to the nature of this role, our client requires an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor who has post qualified experience in a similar role.

**Responsibilities for you as an **Independent Domestic Violence Advisor**:

- The role of the IDVA service is to provide professional advice, information, and support to survivors of domestic violence and abuse living in the community about the range, effectiveness, and suitability of options to improve their safety and that of their children. This advice must be based on a thorough understanding and assessment of risk and its management, where possible as part of a multi-agency risk management strategy or MARAC process.
- The IDVA service is based within the Adults Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Team. The IDVA Team Leader will work to ensure that both vulnerable adults and children are safeguarded through the provision of the IDVA service, referral and multi-agency working.
- The IDVA team leader will manage the IDVA service to deliver this function in a variety of ways. They will ensure that advisors are deployed to deliver an effective service, whether that is through face-to-face contact, via telephone or other communication methods. Advisors will carry a caseload and provide a duty advice service as required.
- The IDVA service works with people who are experiencing traumatic and distressing situations and circumstances. The service is managed to support staff as individuals and as a team so that they can respond positively to these clients on a day-to-day basis. The post holder will need to show emotional resilience and ensure that appropriate supervision is in place to support both themselves and staff.
