The product cost engineer will drive cost accuracy and cost competitiveness. You will work with the product team to prepare cost models for a global portfolio of pursuits and enable the bid to execute transition for our projects. The position offers a fantastic pathway into more senior and wider positions within the business.

**As a Cost Estimator, you will be responsible for**:

- Owning product costing data for assigned Product Portfolio and building cost models to support tender proposals.
- Working with cross-functionals team, scrutinising cost base and build cost certainty and embed lessons learned from execution teams into costed systems.
- Developing and updating the product benchmarking database, identifying key metrics and cost drivers for individual products, producing required reports for Products and Portfolios.
- Championing cost competitiveness objectives with the Product Management team and maintaining a standard costing operating rhythm for high volume structured products
- Identifying Proposal Specific risks cost and opportunities for given portfolio. Assessing actions and mitigations required.
- Leading the development of estimating techniques to further improve costing accuracy and certainty within given portfolio.
- Supporting proposals costing leaders with inputs for business level reviews

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have a background in cost estimation, cost engineering, quantity surveying or similar
- Be analytically minded in cost estimating, risk assessment and reporting.
- Have the ability to recognise opportunities and risks, and assess urgency, priority and impact to create enhanced value for the organisation
- Demonstrate interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Possess good project background and technical writing ability and skills.
