With this in mind we have created an exciting new role to support both the Management and Care Teams.

**As a Senior Care Lead you will**:

- Positively support the Deputy Manager and the Registered Manager in providing leadership to the care and Senior care staff, supporting them to ensure exceptional care is provided to our residents
- Have responsibility for leading, supporting and facilitating the holistic needs of residents
- Support senior management in the delivery of high-quality care and support, and to deputise when required
- Provide coaching, guidance and support to aid the Senior care team including chairing meetings
- Maintain skills at a current level and undertake required training and development
- Complete audits and complete actions to ensure continuous improvement in care standards.
- Complete supervisions with staff
- Carry out care and support plan reviews to ensure that the care provided is person-centred and meets the requirement of the needs of our residents and help provide guidance, coaching and support to junior staff to ensure robust person centred documentation.
- You will ensure oversight of communication with relatives, care plan reviews and liaise with external professionals
- Be responsible for the helping to oversee residents’ medication in line with company policies and procedures to include ordering, checking in, administering, auditing and supporting with staff competency assessments.
- Work hands on with carers and seniors.
- To act as a senior person for advice and be responsible for leadership of the Home in the absence of Management
- You will develop the skill set of your team and act as a first point of escalation where required; acting quickly and responsibly in emergencies
- Ensure compliance with all external regulatory standards
- Complete/support with rostering

- Ideally hold an NVQ 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or above
- Ideally hold a medication administration qualification
- IT literate
