Calor Gas are looking to recruit a Lead HSSE Advisor to cover the Central and North West Wales region of the UK.

As the leader of Calor's management in the ownership of health and safety performance at CDC's (Cylinder Distribution Centres) and Break-Bulk sites, your primary objective is to ensure the highest standards of health, safety, security, and environmental practices are in place.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for monitoring legal compliance and recommending interventions.
- Communicating and verifying the implementation of HSSE Action Plans and SHVe strategy activities
- A support to Operations Fulfilment Leaders. Empowering this community to utilise the HSSE management systems, performance information, programs, projects, and tools to monitor and manage risk locally. Keeping Leaders appraised of their compliance position, any trends or concerns arising and feeding back to the HSSE Leadership Team, Extended Leadership Team and Management Team.
- Schedule and execute Compliance Assurance visits and Audits as per plan. Collaborating with the Area Transport Manager and Head of HSSE within their geographical areas / local sites and report where required.
- Work with local team members, Head of HSSE and HSE Administrator to ensure performance reporting is accurate and timely.
- Working with the OHE Manager to ensure awareness, to influence change around health, well-being, and environment issues. Assist and check that the sites within their area has adequately assessed and is controlling the occupational health risks to its staff with particular attention to hearing; hand, arm and whole-body vibration; contact dermatitis; and the control of substances hazardous to health.
- Assist sites in the preparation for, hosting of and follow up from external regulator or insurance inspector visits, especially Competent Authorities (UKAS, HSE, EA, local authority etc).
- Walk with the customer, to observe their behaviours/understanding and coach as necessary.
- Undertake HSSE projects as agreed between the Head of HSSE and the Head of Fulfilment to improve HSSE performance across the business.

**We would like you to have/be**:

- NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent level 6 relevant qualification
- Ideally trained to ISO ISO14001, 45001, 18001
- NEBOSH Environmental Certificate or IEMA
- Ability to lead and support Incident Investigation process and Occupational Health and Environmental programs.
- Support Emergency Response Management
- Communicating and coaching at all levels of the organisation
- Grad / Chartered Member of IOSH, or working towards
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft office
