As we continue our exciting expansion and regeneration of the Pier, we're looking for **Soft Play Team Leader **to join our leadership team, as part of our Discovery Bay - Soft Play and Adventure Golf department. You will help manage a core team of Soft Play Attendants, Kitchen Crew and Party Hosts.

**About the Role**

**Soft Play Team Leader**
**Location**: Clacton Pier, 1 North Sea, Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, CO15 1QX.
**Hours**: average 5 days out of 7, with evening and weekend shifts required during school holiday periods
**Salary**:£11.50 an hour

**Key Responsibilities**:
Every year thousands of people from around the world visit Clacton Pier, exploring its rich history, and the treasures on display. Whether you are selling the ticket that starts it all, or the gift that provides perfect ending, you will be a vital part of each guest’s experience.
- Overseeing the Soft Play Team to meet the day’s demands with excellent Product Knowledge
- Making guests aware of wide range of options and products on offer with best interest of great experience adequate to their needs and budgets
- Take an active approach to upselling and cross-selling as individual and as the team to maximise revenue
- Motivate the team to drive sales and hit targets for products such food, drink or other attractions on site
- Takes responsibility in both admissions to the soft play, parties and queue management at the Passport Control
- Organises regular stock counts and maintaining good level of soft play, counters and partie’s related items in absence of Assistant Manager or Manager
- Maintaining good knowledge of the on site and online booking systems, website update and company apps
- Oversight of the workload in order to distribute resources to ensure turn-around and accuracy are within agreed standards and to ensure fairness of the workload distribution
- To oversee the systems’ processes within your team and recommend/introduce changes, as agreed with Managers
- Preparing the order for food or drink and passing it over to F&B Manager
- Displaying and organising stock
- Carry out duties smoothly and effectively; resolving any problems as they occur, be able to react to the changing events and situations in a professional manner, resolving any problems as they occur.
- Deal with large groups and school bookings by organising the team to welcome guests and oversees the activities to ensure good feedback past visit
- Contribute to the discussions with the Management Team and IT Team on the specification of requirements for ongoing configuration of both systems and assisting with testing, if required.
- Using operational apps to record checks and monitor activity within the soft play department
- Undertake any necessary training, as required, including internal systems training, sales, marketing and customer service.
- Maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the area.
- Actively contribute towards building a strong team atmosphere by involving and supporting others, sharing information and best practice, injecting enthusiasm and ideas, and promoting a harmonious friendly climate.

- Previous experience in a fast paced, sales focussed environment

- People management expertise;
- Good commercial and business acumen;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills ;
- Excellent presentation skills;
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and school holidays.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to execute multiple tasks as required.
- Must be self-motivated and have proven ability to take initiative.
