Male Brain Injury Support Worker - Walsall

**£15p/h weekdays and £15.50p/h weekends**

**Up to 10 hours per week working 2 x 5 hours shifts (Tuesday and Thursday)**

This is a great opportunity to assist Martin who is an active 38-year-old gentleman. Martin has an acquired brain injury and is looking for support with his daily living, engaging in swimming, gym, accessing the community, as well as cooking and cleaning.

**About this client**:Martin is an active and social 38 year old, he lives in a supported living property and is keen to further develop his independent living skills and increase his fitness. Martin is enjoys being active. He is very creative and funny and loves trying new things.

He requires support with accessing the community, going to gym, swimming and fitness. Martin is very excited to have support to help him during the week.

**Who this job would suit**:This will be a fantastic role for a *Male psychology student/ therapy/teaching assistant, or individual with experience in care and support work who is seeking additional hours. Someone with a real passion for helping people to reach their full potential and confidence. You will be enthusiastic, positive, and flexible.

You must be able to demonstrate:

- Experience of working with clients with Acquired brain injury **(Essential)**
- Experience in care or support worker in the UK **(Essential)**
- Good understanding of the local area
- Have a full driving licence, and access to your own vehicle
- Have a flexible and positive attitude and be able to work on own initiative
- The ability to motivate and enable through support and care
- Willingness to go swimming and to gym with the client, accessing the community and support with daily living activities.
