Become a guiding force in the educational journey of students with special needs - discover the fulfilling role of an SEN Teaching Assistant.

As a Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility is to foster a supportive learning environment for the students, ensuring their overall well-being and maximising their potential. You may be required to support with care needs when necessary, employing positive behaviour management, and tailoring your approach to each child. Building warm and supportive relationships with pupils, your role is to create a safe and enjoyable learning atmosphere, promoting independence, personal development, and maintaining high behavioural expectations.

In addition, you will collaborate with the class teacher to deliver a high-quality, differentiated curriculum, aiming for each pupil to achieve their full potential across all areas of learning.

Experience & Qualifications:

- Working towards Level 2 award in Support work in schools or an equivalent is desirable
- GCSE Maths and English Level 2/C or above qualification is essential.
- Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
- Knowledge or experience of pupils with SEN or SEMH/ASD
- Commitment to the role, the desire to put the child first and treat them as an individual
- Be positive and creative in meeting pupils' needs
