Our client is a community-based charity on a large social housing estate. We are an organisation providing transformational services for adults, young people and families in the local area. Our aim is to bring people and services together. Working with voluntary and statutory services we deliver a community offer which reduces social isolation supports people to develop their own initiatives and achieve independence. We provide advice and support to vulnerable people. Demand for our service has increased since the Covid-19 lockdown and through the cost-of-living crisis.

The role

We are looking for a friendly and dependable individual to ensure the smooth running of the youth club and effective communication with staff, parents and stakeholders.

Main duties and responsibilities
- Organise and maintain one drive folder
- To assist the Team to carry out administrative tasks
- Co ordinate, set up, and minute meetings
- Inventory and ordering of food, equipment and stationery
- Issuing invoices
- create and distribute monthly online newsletter
- use and update organisation database software
- coordinate and plan offsite trips

Occasional Duties
- Identify funding opportunities and share with the MD
- Update social media and website

About you - Person Specification

A team player and confident self-starter, you will be organised and have experience of working as an administrator at a senior level with excellent time management skills and good attention to detail with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Essential Skills, Abilities and Attitudes
- Word processing skills and confidence with using computers including Word, and Excel. Training will be given on the database system
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- flexible approach
- A commitment to youth led services and to providing equality of opportunity
- Confident and able to work on own initiative
- Able to prioritise work and demands

Education and Training
- Educated to a GCSE or equivalent
- Good computer skills

Desirable skills and experience
- Some experience of working within the not for profit sector is desirable
- Good knowledge of safeguarding practices
