As an **ER Specialist**, you will partner Business Leaders and HRBP’s to identify and support activities that will contribute to employee engagement and business performance. You will take ownership of a caseload of high-level employee relations issues across a range of topics including health, wellbeing, performance, and behaviour. You will provide professional guidance and advice to managers on relevant employment law and business practice, often giving a range of options with impact assessment for managers to understand and decide upon.
**You will be accountable for**:
- Planning, organising, and delivering the ER training and induction for new managers.
- Designing and delivering group and individual training sessions in the key areas of ER process and policy in a way that complements our values and priorities.
- Continually review training content and materials to ensure it remains relevant, up to date and utilises the most effective, valuable methods of delivery.
- Review methods of evaluating and assessing manager capabilities and flex service and style to support individual development.
- Work closely with Learning & Development to align plans with wider business and utilise technology available to innovate our training solutions and outcomes, contributing to the implementations of the managers training toolkit.
- Case Management of complex ER issues, including dismissals and appeals. Reviewing case logs to identify any issues and hotspots, focusing on solutions and conclusions. Updating HR and Operational business partners regularly.
- To be the point of contact for HR Business Partners, providing information for Operational scorecards, understand and support Absence and Attrition hotspots and initiatives as well as performance activities identified via the Talent review process.
- Work closely to support the ER Advisors, updating on any ER changes within the business and providing training where necessary.
- Contribute to all ACAS queries and ET1 claims by providing accurate data, actions, and outcomes of each case.
- Providing support to Loss Prevention for investigations into fraudulent activity.
**To be successful in this role you will require the following**
- CIPD qualification or working towards qualification.
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
- Qualified Mediator or working towards would be advantageous.
- Experience of ER caseload management.
- Strong Microsoft office experience with the ability to use Excel to analyse information and Word to provide professionally written letters and documents.
- Experience of facilitating conflict resolution (mediation).
- Experience of coaching managers and senior stakeholders.
- Employment Law, policy changes and the impact on the business.
- Experience of working in a unionised environment.
